Following the increase in covid cases, epidemiologists and public health experts have issued a new call for the general public to complete their vaccination programs and apply booster doses.
The Ministry of Health recalled that since last Friday, November 2, at least 12 million vaccines were available nationwide for the population over 12 years old.
In response to a press request sent by this newspaper, that portfolio recalled that access to vaccinations varies depending on whether the body is public or private.
“Users can contact their PSI to provide information on the closest points to receive the service, they can also go to their PSI to receive the vaccine”, explained the ministry.
In the case of the public network, the ministry specified that the indication for local authorities is to establish alliances with the administrative bodies of the social security plan (EAPB) and other health actors to guarantee vaccination.
The Medellín health secretariat recalled that 77 vaccination points are still active in the district, where Moderna and Pfizer biologics are applied.
The points include the network of Metrosalud centers and various establishments in the private network.
In the case of the public network, the active centers are the General Hospital of Medellín, the headquarters of El Sacatín of Metrosalud and the health centers of that entity located in the Alfonso López, Altavista, Aranjuez, Belén Rincón, Campo Valdés and Civiton neighborhoods. , El Salvador, Stadium, Guayabal, La Esperanza, Manantial de Vida, Moravia, Pablo VI, Palmitas, Popular 1, San Blas, San Camilo, San Lorenzo, Santa Elena, Santander, Santo Domingo Savio, Sol de Oriente, Villa del Socorro and Villa Laura.
In the case of the private network, Sura Almacentro, Sura Centro, Sura Córdoba, Sura Industriales, Sura Los Molinos, Sura San Diego, Sura Sao Paulo, IPS Salud P&P SAS, IPS Universitaria, Promotora Médica Las Américas, Comfama Buenos Aires remain active. , Comfama Calasanz, Comfama Cristo Rey, La 80, Comfama López de Mesa, Comfama Manrique, Comfama San Cristóbal, Comfama San Ignacio and Comfama San Vicente.
