The story of Quaden, a 9-year-old Australian boy with dwarfism, sparked outrage on the web. In a video shared by his mom, the child explains that he wants to end his life because of the harassment he experiences at school. “Give me a knife, I want to kill myself. Give me a rope. I’m going to stick a knife in my heart, ”begs Quaden, between two waves of crying.
The video posted by the baby’s mom caused such a stir on social media that a hashtag #WeStandWithQuaden was created. American actor Brad Williams, also dwarfed, launched a fundraiser on the GoFundMe site so that Quaden could go to Disneyland with his family. At the time of writing, the sum of 350,000 dollars, or 322,000 euros, has already been raised, with a goal of 10,000 dollars! An amount that reflects the impact that this video has had on Internet users and celebrities. This amount largely sufficient to allow Quaden to spend an unforgettable stay, the rest of the money will be donated to charities engaged in harassment.
