Doctor Fatou Diop, director of the Thierno Mamadou Mansour Barro hospital in Grand-Mbour, received a donation consisting of a general ultrasound device, an ultrasound device for cardiology and a device for dental consultation, delivered by the Ahmadiyya Jamad Islamiyya Medical Association, in addition to a batch of mattresses from the Departmental Council of Mbour.
The donation offered by the Ahmadiyya Jamad Islamiyya Medical Association is, for her, an element of relief but also a promise kept. Following the delivery of an endoscopy device by this association, a request was made to dispose of this material; which is now done.
The cardiac ultrasound device meets a need because a cardiology service is set up by the good care of Professor Lèye, according to her. The presence of two cardiologists relieves the patients in the request. The maintenance of the equipment is carried out by a qualified service and the (spare) parts are available because the brand of the device (Philips) has a representation.
For the representative of the donor association, the device offered will participate in the diagnosis of the heart and it costs 100,000 dollars. Present in the regions of Thiès and Diourbel, it intends to continue its activities in the municipality of Fatick, by drilling wells and supporting community health. Mamadou Marone, the representative of Saliou Samb, the president of the Departmental Council of Mbour, magnified the gesture and expressed the efforts undertaken by the department to support the hospital.
