NEW YORK (Nettavisen): These four shots from a police officer and the murder of the 16-year-old girl Ma’Khia Bryant fire up again during the racism debate in the USA.

It was Monday this week that 16-year-old Ma’Khia was shot and killed by police officer Nicholas Reardon in Columbus, Ohio.
The girl was shot by the policeman after she, according to the police, drew a knife in an argument in the neighborhood.

The news that a police officer had shot and killed a 16-year-old girl shocked Americans when it became known early Monday afternoon.
The incident itself took place just before the verdict against the ex-policeman Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd was read out in Minneapolis and re-created a debate about police use of excessive force and firearms.

In a video from the policeman’s body camera that was published on Tuesday, you can see how Reardon arrives at the scene.
Shortly after he asks what’s going on, he pulls out his weapon and fires four shots when the 16-year-old girl is apparently about to attack another girl with what is said to have been a knife.
– She had a knife. She just attacked her, you can hear the policeman say in the video.
– She’s a pissed off child, man, you can hear a witness shout back.
