Dominic West and his wife Catherine said Tuesday The Sun a brief statement after several photos were published on Monday showing the actor kissing his co-star Lily James. The couple does not respond to the rumors, but says they are still together.
“Our marriage is strong and we are definitely still together,” said West and his wife, with whom he has been married for ten years and has four children.
They shared their statement on paper and gave copies to the media present who had gathered at their home. The photographers also recorded that the couple kissed each other.
West and James, both of whom star in the BBC series The Pursuit of Love, were seen together in Rome last Sunday. They can be seen kissing in photos that leaked in British media.
James recently announced that she had ended her relationship with actor Matt Smith.
The 50-year-old West is best known for his leading roles in series such as The Wire in The Affair. In The Affair he plays a writer who enters into an extramarital affair with a waitress. 31-year-old James has played roles in such films as Cinderella in Yesterday.
