To participate in the parade, 33 dog handlers with service dogs, who specialize in the search for weapons and drugs, were selected.
For the first time, the service dogs of the border guards will take part in the parade dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Service.
The preparation of the parade crew of dog handlers and their four-legged companions has already begun on the basis of the Dog Training Center of the State Border Service, in Velikiye Mosty, Lviv region.
To participate in the parade, 33 dog handlers with service dogs were selected, who will represent the border department on the Independence Day of Ukraine.
All dogs that will participate in the parade, specializing in the search for weapons and drugs, and “have already proven themselves in the service.”
It is noted that training at the Center will last until the end of the month, and then continue in Kiev. Dogs should behave calmly, get used to the location of the event, not react to strangers and other irritants.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense explained why cadets will be at the parade in heels on Independence Day.
