Documentary filmmakers conjure up centuries-old scenes in the streets of Old Riga / Article / LSM.lv

In mid-June, the work on filming historical reconstructions for the documentary “Peace. Border. Bridge ”, which will signal the Latvian-Russian peace agreement. The reconstructions will feature talks between Soviet Russian and Latvian diplomats, the life of the Russian delegation in Riga, as well as the return of refugees to Latvia.

The scenes were filmed in the streets of Old Riga, Mikhail Chekhov’s Riga Russian Theater and the Latvian Railway History Museum.

Latvia and Soviet Russia signed a peace treaty on August 11, 1920, thus paving the way for Latvia to fully develop as an independent and internationally recognized state. This is one of the most important dates in the history of diplomacy between our country and Latvia.

The upcoming LTV documentary “Peace.” Will tell about the progress of the peace treaty negotiations, its conclusion, benefits and losses. Border. Bridge ”, the premiere of which will be broadcast on LTV on August 11, 2020.
