The Russian Ministry of Health is forming mobile teams to treat patients with a new coronavirus infection in regions where the situation is most tense. They will also include doctors from Bashkiria. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin ordered to allocate 200 million rubles for the provision of such teams. The funds will be used to pay specialists’ labor and travel expenses.

According to the document, a total of 32 medical institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health will be involved. Among them – the National Medical and Surgical Center named after Pirogov, Medical Research Center for Cardiovascular Surgery named. Bakuleva, National Medical Research Center for Cardiology, Medical Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology named after V.I. Kulakova, Bashkir State Medical University.

“We hope that thanks to these measures, medical care will be provided more promptly to everyone who needs it,” Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the Presidium of the Government’s Coordination Council to combat the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

In Bashkiria, the practice of sending specialists from federal medical institutions and specialized universities to regions with a difficult epidemiological situation is already being used. The teams include doctors of various profiles: anesthesiologists-resuscitators, infectious disease specialists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, therapists.

“Medical teams from Ufa, at the request of the Russian Ministry of Health, provided assistance to patients in Karachay-Cherkessia, Kyrgyzstan, the Amur Region and Abkhazia,” Lira Iskhakova, advisor to the rector of the Belarusian State Medical University, told RBC Ufa. “Now this practice will be financed by the federal budget.”
