The Brazilian national team’s medical team has revealed the current condition Neymar who cried on the bench after the Group G win against Serbia World Cup 2022 at Lusail Stadium, Friday (11/25) in the morning WIB.
Neymar was caught crying on the Brazil bench as he left the field in the 80th minute after being replaced by Antony. The Brazilian star was in fact the target of tackles by Serbian players until he was unable to continue the game due to injury.
From the photos circulating, the Paris Saint-Germain star has a swollen ankle. The injury potentially meant Neymar missed the Selecao’s second match against Switzerland on Monday (28/11).
Reported by Independent, a team of Brazilian doctors confirmed that Neymar had suffered an ankle injury. They said it will take 24-48 hours to assess the 30-year-old’s condition.
If Neymar were to be absent, this would obviously be a big loss for Tite’s team. The former Barcelona player is the life and soul of the team chasing a sixth title at the 2022 World Cup.
Neymar himself performed well in the Brazilian front line producing 22 shots attempted against Serbia in this match. But from a number of opportunities. Brazil only managed to score two goals which were bought by Richarlison in the 62nd and 73rd minutes.
