Agencies | LARA’S PRESS.- The doctor Delia Mata passed away this August 20 from complications associated with COVID-19 in El Tigre, Simón Rodríguez municipality of the state Anzoátegui, confirmed the medical union of the entity, outlined Cocuyo effect.
Delia Mata was a general practitioner and was not active, as she suffered from a neurological condition that took her away from her work. I used to work in the José Antonio Anzoátegui Territorial Polytechnic University. Died in the Felipe Guevara Rojas Hospital in El Tigre, where he entered in poor condition.
The health center, selected as a sentinel for the care of cases of COVID-19 in the municipality, has begun to receive more people with the symptoms of the disease caused by the new coronavirus and it already has 11 patients in the COVID-19 area. One of them is seriously ill.
Given the increase in patients, they are preparing other areas to receive more people. However, doctors at the hospital say they have no way to do rapid tests and the results of the PCR tests take time or do not arrive. “We are doing clinical diagnosis and radiological studies. We are not doing tests,” says a specialist.
