Opinions were divided in the Jansen household. Was not voting on the Island Council a cliffhanger or an anticlimax? I liked the latter. The tension was carefully built up. With Jasmine and René on the beach, with scheming, with plans, a lot of uncertainty and the big question: who or who should leave? Loek, Jasmine or a rabbit from the top hat? But then the hangover: Kaj Gorgels’ comment that ‘there will not be a vote’. Bam! It’s as if two pub-goers are flirting with each other for a night, dancing their asses around each other, and then suddenly (it’s noon) the lights come on and, dammit, one of them is gone. And that kiss?
The hunger for thrills increases in this series of Robinson. The duel between Jan and Yuki was nice, but the ropes test was not well thought out. One net, through which seven candidates had to pass… It was quite unimaginable that that resulted in a queue. And that the first (Wietze) would also be the first to reach the Robinson knot. Why not put down seven nets? Those who had paid even more attention also knew that Défano was no longer in the picture and had therefore dropped out… Poor makers, they still had to make something of it. The good thing: luckily we will get this Island Council again! So cliffhanger…
