The medical department of the Delogu hospital in Ghilarza was closed following the coronavirus infection of a doctor who works there. Immediately afterwards, a positive patient was also found, among the dozen hospitalized patients who underwent a swab before being transferred to the hospitals of Oristano and Bosa. The safety protocols with controls and the sanitization program were then activated.
It is unlikely that the medical department will be able to reopen soon because there are only three doctors left on duty and this does not allow to ensure the minimum coverage of shifts. It should be remembered that until yesterday the Delogu hospital in Ghilarza had been identified as the headquarters of the new Covid ward of the ASSL of Oristano.
