Do you want to go to France? The SEP pays you a trip to ‘fly’ to teach Spanish – El Financiero

There is work abroad! The Secretariat of Public Education (SEP) launched an exchange call for people who want to work as Spanish teachers in France for seven months for a payment of 16 thousand pesos monthly.

If sanitary conditions allow it, you will be able to travel from October 3, 2022 to April 28, 2023 to collaborate as an assistant to some Spanish language teacher in a French academy, in addition to carrying out teaching activities in front of school groups of primary, secondary or high school level by 12 hours per week during the exchange period.

Registration closes at 9:00 p.m. on March 11 this year, so keep an eye on the requirements and submit your application on time.


Requirements

It is important to mention that if you were a beneficiary in an exchange program administered by the General Directorate of Educational Policy, Best Practices and Cooperation (DGPEMPC) In previous cycles, you will not be able to register for the current program call. Otherwise you must have the following requirements:

  • Be of Mexican nationality.
  • Be under 30 years of age as of March 11, 2022.
  • Be a graduate of a higher education institution, either teaching or university.
  • Possess your degree and/or professional license from undergraduate studies.
  • Have an intermediate level of the French language.

What documents do I need to be a teacher?

To be a beneficiary of this program you must send the following documents, which you must scan in PDF format and on both sides (if necessary), with a maximum size of 2 Megabytes for each file:

  • Application form (DOSSIER), duly completed and signed;
  • Letter of Acceptance of Conditions and Selection Criteria correctly completed and signed;
  • Letter of statement of reasons for which the scholarship is requested (it must have a minimum of two and a maximum of three pages, in Spanish and stating whether in previous cycles you were a beneficiary of any DGPEMPC scholarship program);
  • Copy of the title and/or professional certificate that proves your undergraduate studies;
  • Copy of birth certificate issued on a date not older than six months;
  • Copy of valid passport (with a minimum validity of 18 months);
  • Copy of DELF B1 or B2 Language Diploma, or approved DALF;
  • Original document of the proof of No Criminal Record, valid for no more than 30 days at the time of submitting your request.
  • Original of the medical certificate of good health issued and stamped by a Public Health Institution or Red Cross;
  • Copy of a document that proves experience as a teacher in language teaching.

If you are one of those selected, the March 31ste will publish a list of candidates to interview through the website https://www.dgpempyc.sep.gob.mx/6_con_mfr.html. The interview stage will be April 4 to 22, 2022. The final results will be published on April 29 within the same page.
