Do you remember Turrican? Now the games are re-launched for today’s consoles

If you are a gamer of the slightly older vintage and owned a Commodore 64 or Amiga in its time, the chances are high that you have come across the shooters in the Turrican series. Now you get the chance to play them again on today’s console generation.

As among others Eurogamer reports, Turrican is now celebrating its 30th anniversary. In this connection, the publisher releases Strictly Limited Games the two Turrican Anthology Vol. 1 and 2 bundles for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

A trailer that offers some information from behind the scenes you see at the top of the article.

Limited number

Turrican Anthology Vol. 1 consists of the Amiga versions of Turrican and Turrican 2, the Super Nintendo games Super Turrican and Super Turrican Director’s Cut, as well as the Mega Drive title Mega Turrican Score Attack.

The second package offers Turrican 3 for Amiga, Mega Turrican and Mega Turrican Director’s Cut for Mega Drive, as well as the Super Nintendo games Super Turrican 2 and Super Turrican 1 Score Attack.

The collection packages can be pre-ordered now and released in a limited number, so it may be an idea to throw yourself around if you feel the nostalgia itch intrude.

The first Turrican game was launched in 1990 for the Commodore 64 and Amiga. The games are side-scrolling shooters partly inspired by Metroid and were in their time praised for, among other things, a technical quality that was above what other games in the same genre could deliver.
