The seed of men infected with corona can be seriously affected. Not only is there much less seed present after Covid-19 – up to ten percent of what should be normal – it is also less mobile and even deformed.
This comes from research by the Belgian Professor Gilbert Donders, writes Het Nieuwsblad. For the time being, he advises couples not to start having children if the man has had a corona infection. The good news: it’s temporary.
Prof Donders calls it “spectacular”. “Even though we have only examined samples from 26 test subjects, the results are so startling that it cannot be a coincidence. The vast majority of samples – not all – show a dramatic drop in sperm count, motility and morphology are severely affected. There is even DNA damage, but it is almost certain that it is a temporary phenomenon. After four to six months, the sperm cells begin to recover.
