Do not feel the most religious or Pancasila

JAKARTA, – President Joko Widodo emphasized that the big goal of getting out of the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic can only be achieved through the cooperation of all components of the nation. The Head of State hopes that all components of society can work together, help each other, and remind each other of goodness and noble goals.

Jokowi also remembering that democracy does guarantee freedom, but freedom that respects the rights of others.

“No one should feel the most self-righteous, and the others should be blamed. No one should feel the most religious by themselves. No one should feel the most Pancasila itself,” said Jokowi.

“Those who feel the most right and impose their will are usually not true,” he said.

Jokowi added that Indonesia is fortunate that the majority of the people from Sabang to Merauke, from Miangas to Rote Island, uphold togetherness and unity, are full of tolerance and care for each other.

“So that the current difficult times we can handle properly,” he said.

According to him, Indonesia is also lucky and is grateful for the support and speedy work of the Leaders and Members of state institutions who have taken steps extraordinary in supporting crisis management.

He believes that Indonesia can actually hijack the momentum of the crisis to carry out the nation’s grand strategies.
