Auroras are not unique to Earth. This phenomenon can also occur on other planets as long as the atmosphere is sufficiently dense. Auroras on other planets may actually be more spectacular than those on Earth.

1. Mars

A 2017 study in Nature found that Jupiter’s auroras are bursts of intense electromagnetic radiation that are 30 times more powerful than auroras on Earth.

It is so powerful that you will not be able to see the aurora on the giant planet with the naked eye because the light it emits is beyond what the human eye can perceive.

Another peculiarity of the aurora on Jupiter is that this phenomenon is not produced by solar storms as it happens on Earth.
