JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The transitional large-scale social distancing (PSBB) period was again extended.

PSBB transition extended for two weeks, starting from Friday (14/8/2020) today until August 27, 2020.

Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan said, this decision was taken by considering all conditions.

The finding of new cases is still high

The transitional PSBB was extended for the fourth time because the rate of new positive case findings in DKI Jakarta tends to increase.

As for the moment of commemoration of the 75th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia on 17 August, Anies asked that every celebration activity, especially competitions, be eliminated in DKI Jakarta.
