DJI has announced the Pocket 2, a successor to the Osmo Pocket from 2018. It is again a small action camera on a gimbal with three-axis image stabilization. The new model has a larger sensor and supports HDR video.

In the DJI Pocket 2 is a 64-megapixel sensor in the 1 / 1.7 “format. The predecessor was a 1 / 2.1” sensor with a 12-megapixel resolution. The camera can film in 4k resolution at 60fps and there is an 8x slow motion function, with the Pocket 2 recording in 1080p at 240fps. The bitrate is maximum 100Mbit / s.

Support for HDR videos is also new. The Pocket 2 can record it in a resolution of up to 2720×1530 pixels at 24, 25 or 30 fps. Furthermore, DJI has added extra microphones, there are now four in total, so that the Pocket 2 can record stereo audio. The camera has functions such as SoundTrack and Audio Zoom, which adjust the sound recording to the image during movements and zooming.

The Pocket 2 has just like its predecessor an 875mAh battery and according to DJI the camera works for 140 minutes on a charge.
