Dispute with Qatar comes to an end: Saudi Foreign Minister

Jeddah: Saudi Foreign Minister Amir Faisal bin Farhan has said the dispute with Qatar is over. He was speaking at a press conference after the GCC summit in Al Ula on Tuesday. Relations between Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar will soon be restored. It is through the prudent actions of the leadership of the Council and the sister nation of Egypt that a complete cessation of dissent and a complete return of diplomatic relations have taken place.

The 41st GCC Summit, chaired by Crown Prince Amir Mohammed bin Salman on behalf of King Salman, highlighted the supreme interests of the Council and Arab national security. He said the summit had conveyed the message to the world that GCC leaders can overcome all differences of opinion in one house and bring the country and its people to a safe shore.

The Al-Ula Accord guarantees the commitment of nations to end all problems. Represents the return of things to a natural and correct path. The agreement aims to enhance the security and stability of the region and make the aspirations of the people a reality. The content of the agreement is to enhance cooperation through bilateral talks and coordination, especially in the fight against terrorism and crime.

Had it not been for the wisdom of the GCC leaders, the tireless efforts of Kuwait and the support of the United States, the Al-Ula agreement could not have come to fruition. The tireless efforts of the former Emir of Kuwait should be remembered. The current approach was followed by the current Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Swabah. Thank you to the UAE for its efforts towards the 41st Summit. He said the GCC leaders and leaders discussed a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
