The plan, incentives and death benefits for health workers who handle COVID-19 given starting from March 2020 to May 2020 and can be extended according to the provisions. But until now it has been called that funding for health workers has not been disbursed.
The government has allocated trillions of rupiah in funds for health care incentives. But until now most of these funds have not been channeled. What is the reason?
Verification of old data
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawat said the disbursement of health fund incentives was still awaiting data submitted by the regional government.
“We are still waiting for details on how much each blood of the workforce is, how much health and allocation. So we have given spindles to the regions,” he said in a virtual press conference on Wednesday (06/03/2020).
Identifying health workers who are handling COVID-19 in the regions can be very difficult not to mention the data submitted by the regional government of each region must be verified again by the Ministry of Health and takes a long time.
“We will continue to encourage and support so that payments can be accelerated and payments can be completed. Of course in this case because later the person responsible for the cash out is the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Health will carry out these processes,” Sri Mulyani said.
Minister of Health promises to speed up verification flow
The Indonesian Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto some time ago said he would speed up the payment of incentives for health workers who handle COVID-19. One of the efforts is to reduce the flow of verification of health workers in each region.

Recently, President Joko Widodo highlighted the provision of incentives for health workers. He requested that the process be expedited immediately.
Jokowi did not want any medical staff to complain about the difficulty of disbursing incentives like additional money or death benefits. He wants complicated procedures to be pruned.
“Payment of hospital claims as soon as possible. Incentives for medical personnel as soon as possible. Incentives for lab workers as soon as possible. What are we waiting for? The budget is already there,” said Jokowi.
