The Disney + streaming service has made it possible for subscribers to watch films and series online with others Disney Tuesday announced.
GroupWatch is currently available in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. In Europe, the feature is expected to launch in the fall.
GroupWatch allows people who do not live in the same house to watch a movie or series together via the internet. This is possible with a total of seven people at the same time.
The option is interactive. Subscribers can respond to scenes with six different emojis while watching. In this way they can let you know that they find something funny or moving, for example. It is also possible to pause or rewind the film or series for the whole group.
Services like Amazon Prime Video have been offering such a feature for some time. For Netflix, for example, there are web extensions such as Netflix Party. Such extensions ensure that you can watch together.
