Disney explores options for Black Panther sequel without Chadwick Boseman | NOW

After the death of Black Pantherprotagonist Chadwick Boseman explores Disney how to continue the superhero series. According to American media, the film studio has several options.

Disney is currently in a deep raw after the 43-year-old American actor died from colon cancer at the end of August.

But the company is also in its hands when it comes to a sequel to the 2018 film and possible ‘guest appearances’ of the character T’Challa in other upcoming superhero films from the Marvel stable.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, which spoke with several insiders, Disney can try to fill the gap left by Boseman in various ways. The two most logical solutions involve assigning another actor to play the role of T’Challa or having his sister Shuri become queen of Wakanda.

Fans will start comparing actors

However, few actors seem to be enthusiastic about the first option, or so the prediction is. Fans who don’t like a new actor could create a bad atmosphere and the two actors would be compared anyway.

Giving the kingdom to Shuri seems to be the most obvious option, because some of the comic books that form the basis for the film hint at that.

A new Black Pantherfilm should be released sometime in 2022, but that date was set for Boseman’s death. The filming for a new film has not yet started and it is not certain when they will start.
