Disembodied Tyrant Vocalist/guitarist Blake Mullens Considerably Injured In ‘Freak Accident’, Live Replacements Announced
Blake Mullens, vocalist adn guitarist for deathcore band Disembodied Tyrant, sustained critically important injuries in a “freak accident” on November 3rd, requiring immediate hospitalization and surgery. The band announced the incident November 9th, stating Mullens faces a “lengthy” recovery process and will be unable to participate in their upcoming U.S.tour with Whitechapel.
According to a statement released by Disembodied tyrant, the accident resulted in injuries to multiple limbs. Out of respect for his family, the band has chosen not to disclose further details regarding the incident. Despite the setback, the tour will proceed as planned.
“On Monday the 3rd, Blake was involved in a freak accident that resulted in significant injuries to multiple limbs, requiring emergency hospitalization and surgery. He is okay, but there will be no more details given in relation to the incident out of respect for his family,” the band’s statement reads. “Due to this event and the lengthy recovery process involved, he is unfit to perform on DT’s upcoming US tour with Whitechapel. He is expected to recover in time for the band’s next tour in March.”
Filling in on vocals for the tour will be Trevor teichert of Winter’s gate and Ryan Vail of LarcɆnia RoɆ and Synestia. Disembodied Tyrant will be supporting Whitechapel, Bodysnatcher, and AngelMaker on the following dates:
