Lee Fields is in fact back in music with a new album called Sentimental Fool. Released on October 28, the album highlights the musical universe that made the fifty-year-old soulman so successful.
Having contributed to the influence and explosion in popularity of soul in the 1970s, Lee Fields has to his credit about twenty albums that explore the sounds of soul, blues and rhythm and blues. For this return to the limelight, the hoarse-voiced singer had bet on his timeless musical universe covered in velvet with a first single, Sentimental Fool.
It is in an intoxicating retro-soul atmosphere that the legendary singer transports us to this album, of which you can discover some excerpts below and which you can listen to live during the singer’s tour, which will include 9 French dates in 2023:
