Leipzig – The new album “Memento Mori” by the cult band Depeche Mode was released on Friday. In order to draw attention to the record, it is currently retracting Pop-up-Bus der Band through Germany – and also stops in Leipzig on Sunday.
Between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, the bus stops on Kurt-Masur-Platz in front of Leipzig’s Moritzbastei and opens its doors.
The vehicle has exclusive fan articles and merchandise on board, such as T-shirts, mugs or the album on cassette. What might be even more interesting for many fans of the synth-pop group is the chance to enter a raffle on the bus.
You can win a meet & greet with Dave Gahan (60) and Martin Gore (61) themselves and tickets for the announced concert of the duo on May 23, 2023 in Leipzig!
Party, stroll, clean? There is guaranteed to be something for everyone in Leipzig this weekend
After the trade fair city, the bus will also stop in Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Essen.
Depeche Mode have been making music since 1980. Songs like “Enjoy the Silence” or “People Are People” shaped a whole generation of young people who couldn’t get enough of the unmistakable, creative electronic sound between rock and pop and the profound lyrics.
