Sofia, Bulgaria – September 7, 2025 – Years after a notorious kidnapping, a key witness has revealed a chilling detail potentially linking individuals beyond those convicted in the case. Kli Kirov, a victim of the “nagli” - a Bulgarian criminal group – recounted a striking encounter with a man possessing uniquely unsettling eyes, both during the abduction and later, unexpectedly, on a flight to Sofia. This revelation fuels speculation that the convicted perpetrators were merely a visible component of a larger, still-shadowy network.
The case, which gripped Bulgaria in the mid-2020s, involved the abduction and extortion of several prominent business figures. While a group of individuals were ultimately convicted, questions have lingered regarding the full scope of the criminal enterprise and the identities of those who orchestrated it from behind the scenes. Kirov’s account suggests the existence of individuals who remained untouched by the legal proceedings, potentially holding significant power and influence.
During a recent interview, Kirov described one of his abductors as wearing a mask, yet fixated on the man’s “eyes protruding, like a diseased disease.” He then reported a startling coincidence: encountering a man with identical eyes on a flight to Sofia, a man he confirmed was not among those ultimately convicted. ”One man wore a mask, but I saw his eyes protruding, like a diseased disease. later on a plane to Sofia, I met a man with the same eyes. He was not among the convicts,” Kirov stated.
Kirov believes the individuals brought to justice represented onyl a fraction of the organization, with the true masterminds remaining concealed. He has publicly stated he has moved past the trauma, declaring,”For me,the ‘bumps’ are already a closed page. I don’t live with hatred, I have overcome fear.” The renewed attention to the case comes as questions persist about the fate of three individuals connected to the “nagli” who have mysteriously disappeared.
