In the second half of August, “Dirty Deal Teatro” invites the audience to enjoy a diverse repertoire, in which the included play readings and performances are part of the Riga summer cultural program, which you can get to know more about www.vasara.riga.lv.

At the start of the new theater season, DDT invites the audience to attend the Dramaturgical Election Evenings, during which, on August 16, 23 and 30 at 7 p.m., playwrights are tasked with creating works on the three themes that most often come up in party pre-election campaigns – sustainability, education and external security. Shortly before each of the evenings, the playwright, together with one of the Latvian directors and two to three actors, will transform his work into a succinct theater experience (play, performance, etc.), from which each audience will be able to choose their favorite. The dramaturgical election evenings will be led by the young playwright Diana Kondraš.

On August 28, at 7 p.m., Paula Pļavniece’s open-air show “Garden of Eden” will be shown in the Botanical Garden of the University of Warsaw, in which actors Anta Aizupe, Jānis Kronis, Ivars Krasts and Matīss Budovskis play.
