FilmThe American director Oliver Stone (74), known for ‘Platoon’ and ‘Natural Born Killers’, no longer wants to produce feature films. “I’ve made enough films and that took a lot of energy,” he told the German newspaper Augsburger Allgemeine. He does want to make documentaries.

“Making a movie takes one to two years of your life,” says Stone. He no longer has motivation and no longer has great ambition to shoot a feature film. Nor is there any topical theme that he would like to dive into.

Moreover, Hollywood is no longer interested in him, says the three-time Oscar winner. He also does not want to make TV productions or work for streaming services. “That does not fit with the films I have made. They are outside the norm.”
