Engineer Hossam Sadiq, Executive Director of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, said that the comprehensive health insurance system does not exist like it in the world and has no ceiling for spending and covers all diseases and its main goal is to protect from poverty, stressing that a comprehensive examination is conducted for the citizen at the time of his registration in the system and the family doctor diagnoses 80% Of the cases recorded in the system.

Sadiq continued, during his meeting with the ninth program broadcast on the first Egyptian channel, presented by the media Dina Abdel Karim and the journalist Hossam El Din Hussein, that everyone is registered in the comprehensive health insurance system, but the active persons are the ones who will come to hospitals and a health file is made for them.

The Director of the Comprehensive Health Insurance System continued that the system records the medical and drug data of the patient electronically, indicating that the services provided by the comprehensive health insurance system are approved by the quality system, adding that the system will be fully operational at the level of the Republic within ten years.

Dr. Ahmed Atef, General Coordinator of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, confirmed that the examination rate in South Sinai reached 56%, and 84% of the governorate’s population was registered, and 10 health units were established to provide the necessary medical services and examinations to citizens.

He added during televised statements: “The conditions of hospitals in South Sinai, and the infrastructure in them, have become excellent, as the efficiency of the existing health facilities has been raised, in order to match international standards, and we are proceeding according to the standards of the Quality Supervision Authority, which is in line with international standards.”

He continued, “In Luxor, we entered 6 hospitals, and the percentage of citizens’ registration in the comprehensive health insurance approached 80%.”
