“Director Kamal mourns the significant loss of an essential element in Malayalam cinema”

Director Kamal condoles the demise of actor Innocent. Innocent was an integral part of Malayalam cinema. His death is a great loss. He told Reporter TV that none of the directors like us planned a single film without him in the 90s.

“Instead of just acting, I become a part of the film and give a lot of suggestions. All writers accept his suggestions and contributions without any hesitation. Amma was president for 18 years because of his organizational skills. “Perhaps no other person in Malayalam cinema can be in that position except Innocent,” said Kamal.

He died at a private hospital in Kochi around 10.30 pm. The information was given by Minister P Rajeev. According to the medical bulletin released by the hospital, the cause of death was respiratory diseases, non-functioning of several organs and heart attack due to the infection of Kovid.

The minister said that the doctors were trying to save his life for the last few days and there was hope that he would come back. The family wishes to have the funeral tomorrow. There will be a public darshan at Kalur Kadavantra Indoor Stadium today from 8 am to 11 am. Later there will be a public viewing at Iringalakuda Town Hall. The minister also informed that they are planning to take him home after three o’clock.
