The coronavirus pandemic already exceeds 109 million infections worldwide, according to data collected by the Universidad Johns Hopkins, one of the main monitoring bodies for covid-19. The center also posts 2.39 million deaths worldwide and more than 60.8 million people recovered.
The United States continues to be the most affected country in total figures, with more than 27.5 million infections and almost 484.000 dead, followed by India, with 10.9 million and 156,000 deaths; and Brazil, with almost 9.81 million accumulated positives and 239,000 deaths, respectively.
In Spain, the pandemic maintains high levels of mortality – 643 deaths reported in the last 24 hours – but its contagion capacity continues to decrease and the cumulative incidence in fourteen days per 100,000 inhabitants drops to 584, a figure that was not collected since January 15.

10:10 — Germany has strengthened its border controls with the Czech Republic and Austria with the aim of containing the new variants, while the incidence of infections in the country continues to decline. Since midnight after midnight, only German citizens or those with fixed residence in the country can enter the country through those borders, as well as people who testify other family or work reasons, in addition to transnational workers, health personnel and freight carriers.
In the last 24 hours they have been verified 6,114 new infections and 218 fatalities, according to updated data from the Robert Koch Institute for Virology (RKI). On weekends, the usual figures are low, since data transmission slows down. The cumulative incidence in seven days per 100,000 inhabitants has been 57.4 cases.

8:43 — China has added his seventh consecutive day without contagion at the local level, after the outbreaks registered in the north of the country, while it accounted for 7 cases from abroad, the National Health Commission reported. In addition, 81 cases have been discharged and 1,021 close contacts of those infected were no longer under medical observation, while seriously ill patients did not vary.
