Diocese of Aachen gets new head of communication | DOMRADIO.DE

In the diocese of Aachen there is the third provisional head of communication within three months. The theologian Jürgen Jansen has held the office since June 1, as he explained on Wednesday in Aachen.

His predecessor Ulrich Andree (54), who only temporarily took over the post in mid-April, left the bishopric at the end of May for personal reasons. Jansen (59) has been coordinating Vicar General Andreas Frick’s staff for two years, which also includes the media department. Head of Communication and Press Spokesman for Bishop Helmut He will remain so until the position is filled.

Change in top management

In mid-March, the diocese released its long-time head of the communications department, Stefan Wieland, from work. The provost Rolf-Peter Cremer took over the position temporarily and was replaced by Andree in mid-April.

Jansen has worked for the diocese since 1991. After working in continuing education and as head of the Catholic Educational Institute in the Eifel region, he worked from 2004 to 2008 as coordinator in the diocesan consolidation process. Since July 2005 he has headed the Strategic Controlling department, which is also part of the Vicar General’s staff.
