Bas-Ohatois Dimitri Bols, boss of ASODEP in Wanze, died of a pulmonary embolism last night at his home.
The news fell like a leaden cover on the entity of Wanze including the village of Bas-Oha where he lived close to the parental home, rue Charles Bormans. Dimitri Bols died overnight from Wednesday to Thursday following a pulmonary embolism. Son of Michel (who had a long political career at the municipal level) and brother of Thomas (current alderman), Dimitri had chosen to pursue a career in the health sector by first studying nursing. .
Entrepreneur at heart, in 2008 he created ASODEP (Home health care and personalized services association) a stone’s throw from Place Faniel in Wanze. From a bandaging counter at the start with a nursing home service, it has turned it into a real health center with offices to be rented by professionals in a multidisciplinary approach.
At the start of the week, he was still present in the parking lot of the Amay omnisports hall to lend a hand to the drive-in Covid screening.
His sudden death leaves his partner, his stepson, his parents as well as his two brothers and his sister in pain. Dimitri Bols rests at the Dubois funeral home (Salle Delvaux) in Wanze. Visits are authorized on Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The farewell mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in the church of Bas-Oha before the burial in the village cemetery.
