With two photos, with which he reached more than 3,200 likes and 45 retweets in just three hours after being published, Denis Cruz raised the temperature of social networks and made many sigh on Friday night.

The young woman, who possesses great beauty, appeared scantily clad in the picture and looking at the camera, leaving no message, just a butterfly emoticon, prompting many admiring comments by men and women on Twitter.

Denis Cruz is the Elder sister of the late young Dilan Mauricio Cruz, who lost his life after he was hit in the head by the firing of a 12-gauge shotgun used by Captain Manuel Cubillos, a member of the Mobile Anti-riot Squad (Esmad) of the Police, as has been documented in the judicial process to clarify this death.

The fact, by which Dilan Cruz has become a symbol against police violence, it happened on November 23, 2019, when Esmad agents came to disperse the protest in which Cruz participated, who joined the demonstrations on the occasion of the National Strike of that year against the economic and social policies of the government of President Iván Duque.

Cruz, 18, who had just graduated from high school, He requested more guarantees and investment from the State so that young people like him could access higher education, however, he died in circumstances that are being clarified in a judicial process which was initially carried out in the ordinary justice system, but which is now in the military prison.

However, this change of jurisdictions has been criticized by the family of the deceased because They fear that there will be impunity in this case, so the young people’s mother, Yenny Alejandra Medina, tries through legal resources to return the process to ordinary justice.

Meanwhile, Captain Cubillos, who is accused of firing the weapon that hit Dilán Cruz, is also being prosecuted for these events at the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, where he is being investigated for alleged excessive use of force, and with which it would be determined if the uniformed man will have disciplinary sanctions.

All these processes have provoked the activism of both the deceased young man’s sister and his mother, who continue to cry out for justice.

In fact, in a demonstration that went almost unnoticed, the mother of the young people spoke out about the protests that took place on Wednesday, February 24, against police violence.

“Today is a day of march, of demonstration, of raising our voice and uniting. I just saw (in the news) that the Dijin (of the Police) insists that the demonstrations today can be violent. I ask: Violent why? “, questioned the woman in a video that Denis Cruz also posted on his Twitter account.

In the video, the mother of the young people supported the march and indicated that she would participate in it: “I am Dilan’s mother, at no time do I intend to violate anyone, that there are more deaths, that there are more bloodshed, I just join those marches (…) against police brutality. I join them in raising my voice for the murder of my son ”.

And he also argued that the violent events that occurred on that day would be the responsibility of the uniformed.

“I want to hold the Colombian government responsible that if something happens to those young students for raising their voices, or to any of us protesters already We know that it was they, the Colombian government, the police who infiltrated to delegitimize the marches with the sole purpose of diverting the issues of ‘false positives’ “, concluded in his message, the mother of Dilan Cruz.
