Hanoi (VNA) – Digital transformation must be continually renewed, with innovative thinking and strategic vision, fostering momentum and creativity.

This was stated by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, also chairman of the National Committee for Digital Transformation, during the 3rd meeting of this committee, held on August 8 in Hanoi.

It is therefore necessary to focus on the development of high quality human resources in the service of digital transformation, he underlined.

According to the head of government, it is also necessary to strengthen international cooperation in digital transformation, especially cooperation in technology transfer and attraction of high-quality investments. It is also important to intensify communication about the benefits of digital transformation to residents and businesses, he added.

The Prime Minister asked localities to select and announce the digital platforms they aim to promote in 2022 to solve socio-economic development issues.

According to Pham Minh Chinh, during the first half of the year, digital transformation achieved fundamental results, including the foundation of digital transformation steering committees of all 22 ministries and organs and all 63 localities.

In addition, the data serving as the basis of digital government has been accelerated, he noted, noting that the National Insurance database manages the information of 27 million households covered by health insurance, including including information from 98 million people.

Online public services are proving increasingly efficient, he added, indicating that the national civil service portal provided 3,699 level 3 and 4 public services.

Appreciating the efforts of ministries, organs, localities, enterprises, organizations and individuals in the digital transformation in recent times, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has insisted on the need to effectively mobilize all means and resources for digital transformation, guaranteeing the harmony of the interests of the State, residents and businesses .-VNA
