Tuesday’s session of the Sejm started with a row. Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, Ryszard Terlecki, called the Marshal’s Guard and excluded Sławomir Nitras and Klaudia Jachira from the session. After the break, the session resumed, initially in the presence of the Marshal’s Guard. On tvn24.pl we report events from the Sejm.

On behalf of these people, I accuse you of PiS politicians, I accuse you of Jarosław Kaczyński of destroying the constitutional order, causing chaos on Polish streets, and leading to a Polish-Polish war.

    – I accuse you of depriving women of freedom, of cynically exploiting people with disabilities – she continued.

  • Ryszard Terlecki apologized to Barbara Nowacka for the mentioned names of her mother and for excluding her from the agenda. Jaruga-Nowacka died in 2010. Barbara Nowacka accepted the apology. – Though you have courage. Jarosław Kaczyński retreated – she said, referring to Kaczyński’s absence in the room.

  • Milczanowska: We cannot stop serving in defense of humanity. Let us remember that the Seym established 2020 as the year of Saint John Paul II. He taught us that no community can survive without true solidarity, and that solidarity cannot exist without love.

You heat up emotions, blood will be spilled on the streets in a moment and people will simply kill each other, referring to the fact that they heard in the Sejm that there is a war – he appealed. He submitted a formal motion to convene the Seniors’ Convention and dismiss Jarosław Kaczyński from the position of deputy prime minister.

  • He made a formal motion Cezary Tomczyk (KO). He protested against the actions of the Marshal’s Guard. – You treat the Marshal’s Guard as if it were some kind of service in a totalitarian state. The Marshal’s Guard is meant to guard the Sejm and not be used as a security agency of Jarosław Kaczyński, he said.

    – You are the Speaker of the Sejm, not the Speaker of PiS – he turned to Ryszard Terlecki.

For six days, thousands of young people on the streets of Polish cities have been protesting in defense of their dignity, freedom, right to choose, and the right to abortion. This is a war and you will lose this war. And who is responsible for this war? Mr. Deputy Minister Kaczyński, this is your responsibility – said Tracz, addressing the PiS president and the rulers.

  • On Tuesday, the Sejm started a two-day session.

    – It is with some regret that in the hall among the members of the Left and the Civic Platform there are members with masks with signs that resemble the symbols of the Hitler Youth and the SS. But I understand that the total opposition refers to totalitarian patterns and we regret it, said Ryszard Terlecki, the deputy speaker of the Sejm at the beginning of the session.

The Sejm started a session planned for two days after 10.00. The deputies were to hear the information from the minister of the family about the family support program and the consequences of the decision of the Tribunal by Julia Przyłębska regarding the so-called eugenic abortion. The Sejm also plans to consider the motion of the Civic Coalition to express no confidence in the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zbigniew Ziobro.

Some opposition MPs appeared at the meeting wearing masks with a red lightning bolt – a symbol of the Women’s Strike and ongoing protests throughout Poland. At the very beginning of the session, Deputy Marshal Ryszard Terlecki commented on it: – I am sorry to say that in the room there are MPs from the Left and the Civic Platform who wear masks with signs that resemble the symbols of the Hitler Youth and the SS. But I understand that the total opposition follows totalitarian patterns, and we regret it.

When Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus made a formal motion to add to the Chamber’s agenda the bill of the Left Club, liberalizing access to abortion, a group of members of the Left with the “woman decides” boards accompanied her at the rostrum. Then the whole group left the rostrum and stood near the places of PiS where Jarosław Kaczyński is sitting. They waved signs: “woman decides”, “legal abortion” and “this is war.” Terlecki announced a break and called the Marshal’s Guard to the room. Then, confusion broke out in the Seym hall. Terlecki excluded from the session of the Civic Coalition MPs Klaudia Jachira and Sławomir Nitras, who were led out of the meeting room by the Guard.
