Malian international Aliyu Diang, average in the field of the Al-Ahly team, said that he will spare no effort during the coming period to achieve the dream, which is the coronation of the African Champions League title.
Diang said in statements on the official website of Al-Ahly in the early hours of Saturday morning: “Al-Ahly is a step away from achieving my personal dream of crowning the team in the African Champions League this season.”
The young financial player added, “I will spare no effort during the coming period to realize this dream.”
Al-Ahly player continued his speech: “Rising and overcoming the Wydad hurdle in the semi-finals is an important step, but from today we think about the final match and the dream of the coronation.”
He ended: “I hope that we can draw joy on the faces of the great Al-Ahly fans, who support the team at all times, and the least we can offer them is to strive with all strength to crown the African title.”
Al-Ahly had booked a qualification ticket for the final round of the African Champions League competition, after beating the Moroccan Wydad Casablanca team, back and forth, with a score of (2-0) and (3-1), respectively.
Al-Ahly will be waiting to see who will qualify to face him in the final round, where Zamalek and Raja will play in the semi-finals.
In the first-leg match, Zamalek outperformed Raja in Morocco by winning with a goal without a response that came through Moroccan international Ashraf Bencharki.
The return match between Zamalek and Raja was supposed to be held today, Saturday, but the Confederation of African Football (CAF) decision to postpone the Arab confrontation until the first of next month due to the emergence of Corona virus cases on the Moroccan side.
“K” has decided the date of the final match, which will be held on the sixth of next month in Egypt, from one match, not a round-trip.
