Diablo IV Early Access Results in Fastest Selling Game Title for Blizzard

Those of us with an Ultimate Edition have already been enjoying the game IV for a few days, but Diablo IV only launched properly a few hours ago. Giving people who buy special versions of games early access to them has always been controversial and fascinating, and they also lead to some special achievements.

For a press release reveals that Diablo IV has become Blizzard’s fastest selling game ever. Kind of weird to say just hours after release, right? Apparently that’s because they’ve counted the number of units sold before launch, but they’re not giving us a specific number. Or, that’s not entirely true. We’re told that Diablo IV has been played for 93 million hours, which is longer than 10,000 years, since early access started Friday night.
