St. Andrä / Lavanttal. In the event of a major fire in the municipality of St. Andrä im Lavanttal (Wolfsberg district), 20 vintage cars and other vehicles were destroyed on Friday night. As the police said in a broadcast, the fire broke out around 8:30 p.m. in a former chicken coop that was used by three tenants as a warehouse and workshop. The building burned down completely.
The cause of the fire was as unclear as the overall damage – but it should be enormous: because in addition to agricultural equipment and animal feed, there were about 20 vintage cars, ten motorbikes, ski doos, go-karts and other cars and bodies, including the sports car brand Lamborghini, in the building , Eleven volunteer fire departments with 150 emergency services and 20 vehicles prevented the flames from spreading to an immediately adjacent stable and two houses. Neither people nor animals were injured.
