The stacking of content updates and other extensions will also imply a major change in method at Bungie, which believes that Destiny 2 has become too massive to be maintained effectively, as illustrated by the 115 GB download required just to start playing. Now, when a new extension is released, Bungie will store some older and less frequently used content in a sort of attic called Destiny Content Vault (DCV). This DCV will include everything from the first Destiny as well as everything that Bungie has removed from Destiny 2 over time. Each year, Bungie will collect DCV activities and destinations to put them forward in Destiny 2, like the Cosmodrome which will be the first destination to come out of the closet in September. In the other direction, Mars, Io, Titan, Mercury and Leviathan will be sent to the DCV this fall with all the activities associated with these destinations.
