The Hyberabad police who are investigating the kidnapping and murder cases have finally found a bright spot.
The main culprit of Avanthi’s husband’s murder was none other than her uncle-in-law and even her in-laws also took part.
At least 14 people were brought to the police station, including hitmen hired by the perpetrators.
In the names of the suspects were the names Lakshma Reddy and Archana who turned out to be the in-laws of the victim.
Besides that, there is also the name of his wife’s uncle, Guduru Yudender Reddy.
In addition there are several other people including, the brother Guduru Sandeep Reddy, other relatives Ardham Ranjith Reddy, Ardham Rakesh Reddy, Keesari Rajitha, Yellu Santhosh Reddy, K Sandeep Reddy, Ardham Spandana and Yellu Swapna.
Two suspected murderers Shaik Pathan and Buchi Yadav were also arrested.
Deputy Police Commissioner M Venkateshwarulu said that Hemanth and his wife were kidnapped from their home in the TNGO colony.
Avanthi, who jumped out of the car on the outskirts as they were taken away by the kidnappers, alerted the police about the incident.
However, Hemanth was found in a bush near the town of Sangareddy, about 50 kilometers from Hyberabad.
“Hemanth and Avanthi have known each other for 8 years because they lived in the same Chandnagar area and eloped from the house on June 10 and got married the next day,” the policeman said. Gulf News, Saturday (26/9/2020).
Avanthu came from the Reddy caste, while Hemanth came from the Vysya or Bania community.
In her detention diary, the police informed the court that Avanthi’s parents along with Yugunder Reddy were planning to seek revenge.
The reason for the killers was because Avanthi was hurt to be married to a man who was not from the same caste as their family.
“They did not come out of their homes because they could not stand the humiliation,” the police said in the diary.
The perpetrators are currently on trial and awaiting sentencing for Hemanth’s death. (*)
