Our ambition is to offer you an informed view of today’s Russian reality through analyzes, decryption and original information often first-hand, but also debates and positions. Too few French-language media produce this information and, when they do, space is too often limited, or their content is only accessible on condition of paying a subscription. In particular, it is rare to know from them what is happening on television and on social networks in Russia. Those who do not regularly follow the information offered by human rights organizations also know little about the fate of the thousands of Russians who suffer repression, well beyond the case of Alexey Navalny.
“You have to understand Russia”. The expression is very often used by defenders of the regime led for 21 years by Vladimir Poutine to suggest that these actions must be “understood”, that is to say legitimized. This speech also gives pride of place to the theory of humiliation, to the idea that all the wrongs are on the side of NATO and the West, and, above all, even more so, that ultimately the current master of the The Kremlin would embody Russia and be its true face.
