Designers from China have no limits – Body and wallpaper taken from iPhone, photo module sourced from Xiaomi and an additional screen incorporated.

In the mobile world, it is quite common for successful phones to be copied over and over again. But this time, one of the manufacturers was not inspired by one, but two phones. On top of that, he threw in a second display on the back and a headphone jack. But, don’t let the lock screen wallpaper fool you. In terms of performance, this piece is a long way from the iPhone…

Gionee has been known for copying brands of renowned manufacturers for a long time. But the final product always “finishes” in its own way. Last time we showed you a copy of the iPhone 13 Pro running Harmony OS. This time you can look at Gionee F3 Pro, which combines the body shape of the iPhone 14 with the cameras that the brand previewed on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. Although we can consider a lot of smartphones these days as iPhone copies, Gionee topped it off with the same wallpaper we know from the press renders of the iPhone 14 Pro.

Of course, the illusion is not perfect this time either. The phone has a much larger chin under the display and the brand apparently did not know how to make a display with a pill hole. That’s why she settled for just a panel that has a cut-out for a centered selfie camera. The 60Hz panel itself is 6.5 inches and has “great” sunlight readability modes, but even that can’t hide the simple fact that it’s not an OLED or a Retina display.

The cameras are fake, the performance is poor

The design of the rear photo module was similar to that of the Xiaomi 11 Ultra, but that’s where all the similarities end. At first glance, you would of course guess three cameras on the back, which have the same positions as in the last generation of iPhones, but only one 21MP sensor is functional. And we have no big illusions about the second display, the specifications of which are unknown. Apparently, it can only display the current time, forget about taking photos using the rear display or about notifications.

Unfortunately, we do know what’s inside the phone, and that’s really disappointing. Performance is provided by the Unisoc T610 chipset supplemented by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the battery has a capacity of only 3,900 mAh. The phone runs Android this time, but the manufacturer (on purpose?) does not state the exact version of the system, so it is possible that it will be a really old version. Sometimes copycat phones do well, but this time Gionee really missed the mark. Or let’s ask another question, would you pay CZK 4,500 for this phone in the Czech Republic, after conversion?
