Doha

Karim Benzema he asked for a chance to return to the squad French National in the finals World Cup 2022. Didier Deschamps give an answer on the possibility of the presence of Benzema.

France successfully penetrated the 2022 World Cup Final. This was confirmed after they beat Morocco 2-0 in the 2022 World Cup Semi Final which was held at Al Bayt Stadium on Thursday (12/15/2022) WIB in the early morning.

The two winning goals for Les Bleus came from Theo Hernandez and Randal Kolo Muani. France is one step away from defending their title if they can beat Argentina in the final match.

Ahead of the final match, news was circulating that Karim Benzema had the opportunity to return to the French squad. Benzema was originally included in the list of 26 French player names in Qatar.

But before France’s first match at the 2022 World Cup, the Real Madrid player was injured. France coach Didier Deschamps has refused to find a replacement for Benzema. This allowed Benzema to play in the final.

Responding to questions about Benzema’s return, Deschamps firmly rejected the notion that the 35-year-old forward would return to the final.

“Wow. Well, I’m not sure [apa yang harus dikatakan], it’s not really something I think about. You seem to know a lot about the situation, but I didn’t really follow whoever said it” Deschamps said at a post-match press conference.

“I spoke to Karim after he’s gone and you know the situation, and we’ve heard how long it’s going to take to recover. So I really don’t know what you’re trying to get at. I have 24 players in my squad and I’m happy with the squad I have.

“Several players are out, (Presnel) Kimpembe and (Paul) Pogba are also out, and obviously I’ve talked to them. But it’s up to you if you want to speculate and imagine scenarios. That’s not what I’m focused on at the moment,” he explained .
