Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh Meets His Laotian Counterpart in New York | Politics

New York, September 26 (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Laos Saleumxay Kommasith on September 23 on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 77) in New York of the United States.

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh congratulated Saleumxay Kommasith on his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos and expressed the hope that the head of Laotian diplomacy will continue to lead the implementation of the exchange activities, delegations to high-level and bilateral cooperation mechanisms, and to support ministries and localities in reaching high-level agreements between the two countries.

The two sides welcomed the progress of the special solidarity between the two nations as well as the fruitful bilateral partnership over the years, and said they always give top priority to Vietnam-Laos relations.

They showed their determination to effectively implement the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries and the results of the 44th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee.

They will continue to closely coordinate the organization of delegation exchanges at all levels and the conduct of the remaining activities of the Year of Friendship and Solidarity Vietnam-Laos, Laos-Vietnam.

They will work to accelerate the progress of major cooperation projects, while strengthening their mutual support and assistance in international, regional and sub-regional fora. – VNA
