Denmark opens almost everything from Friday

Then only nightclubs and discos will still have to be closed, according to the agreement between the Danish parties.

Pupils in upper secondary school and upper secondary school can return in full, while it is gradually opened up for attendance at workplaces.

It happens in three phases. Initially, 20 percent attendance is allowed. Then 50 percent in mid-June and finally full attendance from August 1.

The parties have previously agreed that the limit for how many people can gather indoors will be raised from 25 to 50 on Friday. Outdoors, the limit is raised from 75 to 100 people.

The parties also agree to phase out the use of face masks and coronary passports when everyone over the age of 16 has been offered a coronary vaccine.

– It is true that we have a slightly increasing infection rate, but the epidemic is under control and that means that we can now open up our society and start making some of the long-term plans, said Minister of Health Magnus Heunicke.

In Denmark, corona passports have been in place for a long time, which has been central to Denmark’s reopening strategy until now. It is a solution that is now hoped to become redundant domestically.

– It is not fair that people have to spend hours renewing the corona passport in time and out of time, says the Liberal Party’s leader, Jakob Ellemann-Jensen to Danish TV 2.

Minister of Justice Nick Hækkerup also says that the corona passport will be phased out after the summer holidays. According to the agreement, the corona passport must be terminated when everyone over the age of 16 has been offered vaccination.

According to Denmark’s vaccine calendar, this will take place at the end of August.

With the new agreement, people who have received the first dose of vaccine will have their corona pass approved.

– This makes it easier to access the corona passport, says Denmark’s Minister of Health Magnus Heunicke.

In June, the authorities will present plans for phasing out the use of face masks.

The case is being updated.
