Denmark allows for quarantine-free entry from Trøndelag

The case is being updated.

The change applies from Wednesday when the Danish government eases a number of travel restrictions.

Even though the Danes allow for quarantine-free travel from parts of Norway, everyone who returns to Norway from Denmark must be quarantined.

People who travel to Denmark from Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand are also released from quarantine.

Last week, a large majority in the Folketing agreed to ease the travel restrictions gradually in four phases towards the end of June.

Crown passport

The last phase is expected to take effect on 26 June. Then the EU will have introduced a corona passport, which will allow everyone who has been vaccinated or who has a new, negative corona test to travel on summer holidays in Europe.

Due to high infection, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs still advises against most people leaving the country. Roughly speaking, all holiday travel is discouraged, while it is okay with business travel, as well as travel to visit seriously ill relatives.

In some countries, however, the infection situation is so serious that the Danish authorities advise against all types of travel. This includes Brazil, Bangladesh, South Africa and a number of other African countries.

Discouraged traveling out of Norway

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Norway still advises against all travel that is not strictly necessary to all countries.

People traveling from Denmark to Norway must comply with Norwegian quarantine rules when entering Norway.
