Dengue Fever Cases in NTT Continue to Rise, Manggarai…

bali.jpnn.com, Kupang – Cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in East Nusa Tenggara continue to increase.

This was conveyed by the Department of Health, Population and Civil Registration (DKKPS) NTT.

“Until this afternoon the number of dengue cases (dengue hemorrhagic fever) in NTT has reached 540 cases and an increase compared to last week,” said Head of the Communicable Disease Prevention and Control (P2PM) Section of the NTT DKKPS Agusthina Rospita in Kupang, Monday (24/1).

He said last week, the number of dengue cases in NTT was 347 patients with the highest cases being in West Manggarai district, namely 96 patients.

According to him, currently West Manggarai remains the district with the highest dengue cases, with a total of 129 cases.

“Meanwhile, two people have died from dengue fever, spread across Sikka and Nagekeo regencies,” he said.

Furthermore, he said, until now, if sorted, Kupang City is still the area with the second highest number of dengue cases, with the number of cases reaching 112 people from previously only 63 people.

Meanwhile, the third place moved from the previous Sikka Regency, now Southwest Sumba, with the number of cases reaching 56 people from the previous 37 people.
