In order to be able to vent their anger about the Corona measures, people again took part in demonstrations in Hamburg on Saturday.
According to the police, around 3,300 people came together at two events in Barmbek. The demos had the motto “Solidarity from the Corona crisis” and “Against exclusion, division and coercion”. The signs and posters of the demonstrators read, among other things, “No to compulsory vaccination” or “My risk – my body – my decision”.
Smaller counter-demonstration in Barmbek
According to the police, there was also a small counter-demonstration with around 50 people on the circuit in Barmbek. Their signs read, for example, “Thinking instead of lateral thinking” and “For a future of solidarity – vaccination instead of scolding”. The “Barmbeker Initiative against the Right” criticized the fact that the opponents of the Corona policy did not clearly distance themselves from the right-wing and fascists who were running with them. “Anyone who marches with Nazis really doesn’t understand anything,” said a spokesman.
Another demonstration near the train station in Mundsburg had around 1,600 participants in the afternoon. It ran under the motto “We united. For a better future.”. The participants also wanted to express their displeasure with the Corona rules. According to the police, in some cases no masks were worn and the distance rules were not observed.
